Charlotte Kelly, known to her friends pretty early in life as Charlie instead of Charlotte due to her personal disgust of her own name and in homage to a childhood crush. At school, she always wanted to be accepted into society, to be one of the popular girls at her school, but she was never deemed 'cool' enough, she was always seen as a no-hoper by many of the girls at her school who always felt she didn't belong anywhere. Even most boys turned their noses up at her for her averageness at school.

Her outlook on life changed one day after being put under considerable bullying by the girls she so wanted to be accepted by, on the night of her school prom no less. She did nothing to try and get into their group on the night. It seemed to be the release of years of build-up to pretty much destroy Charlie's confidence on the biggest night of a schoolgirl's life. So what did Charlie do? She fought. She fought back against the bullies, taking them on in a rather one-sided contest which she ultimately won in a ward of words, to the shock and awe of everyone in attendance and the disgust of the staff members of the school in attendance. Exams then came around for Charlie and the words of the prom spewed at her were ringing in her ears every time. You're useless. You're nothing. She gave up, ultimately taking their words to heart.

Charlie left school with next to no qualifications barring a good grade in drama, the only thing she cared about still. She wanted something to do with her life. She sat almost literally doing nothing at home for the best part of two years when an opportunity came up. She walked one day past an old warehouse which she often hung out at with a handful of school friends where they had a wrestling ring set up and seats. She asked someone who was setting up the equipment what was happening and they told her about that night's show. She attended and found it hugely fascinating. She saw one of the greatest women's matches of all-time happen at that same show and her heart was set. She was always quite handy at sports at school. She didn't need much convincing when she found she could try out to emulate those that she saw that day!

It was at wrestling school when she developed a mean streak inside the ring, specialising in the multiple ways to inflict pain and misery onto her opponents, whether they be male or female, which earned her the moniker of The Mistress of Misery, a name she keeps to this day. She felt she needed something else. She needed to have herself a group. She met the man simply known as The Muscle just as she began wrestling school. She struck up a great friendship with him as she learnt a bit more about the ins and outs of his much vaster experience in the business, and when she graduated at the end they remained good friends. It was then at The Muscle's suggestion that they should form a group. They needed one more thing. A speaker. The Muscle isn't the best on the mic, and Miss Demeanour is fine on the mic but prefers to let her actions do the talking rather than her words.

Enter their manager, The Wordsmith.

The Wordsmith, known to his friends as Casper Sherman, came to the attention of Miss Demeanour and The Muscle when they watched a boxing show on television in the flat the two of them were sharing at the time. Casper Sherman was a promoter, see. After the match had ended, the boxer that Casper was promoting announced his retirement after a rather swift loss. This lead The Muscle to search him up and it lead Miss Demeanour to approach him in a professional manner to finally accept their offer of being part of their group.

Together through the minor leagues and such the three have bulldozed all comers. The moniker of their collective name the Ministry of Misery was given to the group as a mark of respect on their last night in a territory that was closing down. After Miss Demeanour became the headline act of the show week in, week out with The Muscle holding various championships, they decided it was time to hit the big time. The Muscle decided to tone down his role in the ring, going so far as to retire as such inide the ring but remain with Miss Demeanour as her personal bodyguard to get physical when the numbers get too much as she travels the world wrestling where she can. She ends up here on the world of TWG to find her place to belong, and brings her Ministry with her to wreak havoc wherever she ends up.
